La mia Svizzera riscoperta

Ginevrino di nascita e ticinese d’adozione Didier Ruef è un fotografo di reportage che nell’immagine cerca soprattutto la storia che vi sta dietro. Ne è l’ennesima conferma anche il suo ultimo libro “Homo Helveticus” uscito a dicembre presso l’editore bernese Till Schaap Edition. Didier Ruef vi ha raccolto 170 immagini in bianco e nero catturate nei quattro angoli della Svizzera nell’arco di trent’anni. Molti di quegli scatti sono stati realizzati durante feste tradizionali e quella che ne emerge è una Svizzera di cui risaltano tutte le diversità culturali e le contraddizioni ma anche la tensione verso il cambiamento e la modernità.Il libro diventa allora un altro dei tanti viaggi di Didier Ruef, questa volta alla ricerca della sua identità. Un viaggio e una ricerca che non sono privi di uno sguardo acutamente ironico e che il fotografo ci racconta in questo “Laser”.

Didier Ruef est né en 1961 à Genève. Photographe indépendant, il offre son regard sur les êtres humains, leur environnement et les problèmes écologiques créés par l’homme. Aujourd’hui il nous présente son dernier ouvrage, “Homo Helveticus” (Till Schaap Edition).

30 ans de photos prises en Suisse. Le photographe Didier Ruef nous présente son regard parfois inédit sur ce pays, 170 images noir-blanc sur la Suisse, notre pays et ses traditions, ses contradictions, ses plaines et ses villes, ses hommes ses femmes.
